Requirements for weight checking of cargo containers in the Netherlands

　　As of July 1, 2016, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) will implement the relevant requirements of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS Convention) regarding the weight checking of laden containers. Emphasize the importance that cargo owners must truthfully and accurately declare the checked gross weight of cargo VGM (i.e. gross weight of cargo including packaging), otherwise they must bear the resulting risks!
